- I am not the warm up act

Just to clear up what appears to be a bit of confusion about what I am playing at these three UK “Summer Proms” gigs I´m doing, on next Saturday the 26th July at Weston Park in Staffordshire, then on 16th August at Castle Howard in Yorkshire and on 23rd August at Marble Hill near Twickenham.

Gemini Suite on vinyl

The DPAS reports that there will shortly be a limited vinyl edition of the studio recording of Jon Lord’s Gemini Suite album from 1971. It will be a single disc in a gatefold sleeve.

There is also a plan to issue the original live version on vinyl, which has never been on this format before. The live version will also be a single LP, but in a single cover with an inner bag and using the rare pictures from the session.

Plock: A hypersensual, mind-smashing experience

No one else but him made me fell in love with Deep Purple some 14 years ago and he has strenghtened my love for Hammond organ and keyboards ever since.”

Plock: ‘Storming version of Child in Time’

Jon Lord appeared with the Plock Symphony Orchestra in Plock, Poland on July 6.
