At least nowadays, when I’m very much into avant-guard music in general and experimental and contemporary jazz in particular, it is 100% so. Things he did with Schoener back then still sound fresh and interesting, and all this without loads of overtricky studio equipment, mind that.

Still, I feel it’s a real shame the video of the concert hasn’t been released officially yet. I own the ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ‘Jon Lord with Pictures’ DVD and I believe it would be quite a smart move (at least from a fan’s point of view) to make something similar with Windows Suite – a DVD featuring the concert itself, Rock Meets Classic TV special (featuring Jon and Eberhard taking on Mozart’s Kroenungsmesse) and, probably, some interviews with people involved in the project. I hope dearly it will happen one day even if it means waiting till Windows’ 40th anniversary ;)
