Dear Sir or Madame,
I love this album since almost 30 years and I am still looking for the score of Pavane (keyboard and guitare only). Is the score anywhere available?
Would be deeply grateful for a hint.
Kind regards,
Michael
Wonderful! The best disc that I have. To always listen and to listen. But please, as I can have the scores? Great Jon! You have a great friend from 30 years (and you do not know it)
Jusr wanna say that I’ve had this album since 1978. Bought it because I was a sworn Mark II fan. Played it over and over and over. Then it disappeared for 15 years. Got it back last week from I-Tunes store.
Played it and remembered every note. Like it was a programmed into my soul! Fantastic album!!
Thanks Jon!!
HEey,
I really like the song sarabande and I want to know on which classical song ( I think from Johann Sebastian Bach) the song sarabande based 🙂 Please answer this question and send it to me soon:D
Hey Nina
Sarabande itself – the track – is not based on anything; its an original idea.
However, the form of the whole Sarabande Suite is loosely modeled on a Baroque Dance Suite such as those by JSB. On the track “Gigue” I have quoted the first 24 bars of one of JSB’s English Suites. Maybe that is what you heard?
All the best
Jon
The music on Sarabande has been a constant source of of inspiration and awe for as long as I can remember. It’s one of my desert island discs and has influenced and broadened my taste in music and musical possibilities. It’s not my habit to leave comments but I simply can’t let the opportunity pass to say ‘Thank-you’
… and still the best …
