  1. Any idea what the first song that Jon wrote. Presume 1963 or 1964 ?


  2. Not sure about songs as such, but the first composition he could remember was a setting of the “Nunc dimittis”, which he wrote around the age of 13. He quotes from it in “Music for Miriam” (the middle movement of Disguises).
