Vocalists Steve Balsamo and Kasia Laska have been confirmed for Jon Lord’s upcoming tour of Russia:
October 9 – Yekaterinburg, Russia – tickets
October 12 – St. Petersburg, Russia – tickets
October 15 – Moscow, Russia – tickets
All three concerts will feature Jon Lord’s Concerto for Group and Orchestra performed by Jon Lord and orchestra with Steve Balsamo and Kasia Laska and Hungarian band Cry Free.
The second half of the shows will comprise of selected pieces by Jon Lord and Deep Purple.
Jon Lord’s management is denying a rumour that Frida – who sang with ABBA and guested on Jon Lord’s Beyond The Notes CD – will appear on the tour. This is not true. Jon Lord’s management says:
‘We are keen to help increase ticket sales in any way possible – but it has to be honest.’
Frida appeared with Jon Lord on his Beyond The Notes CD and Beyond The Notes Live DVD.
