On June 23, Jon Lord will appear at a free big band concert in Luxembourg.
Performing with local group Big Band OPUS78, the concert will include a selection of Deep Purple and solo tracks featuring Doogie White and Kasia Laska on vocals.

The Big Band OPUS78 was established in 1978 and is a traditional big band with trumpets, trombones, saxophones and a rhythm section. Kasia Laska sang with the band last summer – see photo.
During the second half of the evening, Jon Lord will appear with the band to perform these pieces (though not necessarily in this order):
Highway Star, Perfect Strangers, Black Night, Pictures of Home, Child in Time, Soldier of Fortune, Pictured Within, Evening Song, The Telemann Experiment and Bouree.

This will be one of the shows of the year . I remember DP having been at the same place during the Concerto tour in front of some 20.000 people ( to note that extracts of that show with comments can be found in the ” around the world live ” dvd ). This show will be a must for all Luxembourg and surrounding DP and Jon Lord fans.DO NOT MISS and let’s pray that the weather god is in a good mood on that day
