Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi di Milano will perform Jon’s Concerto for Group and Orchestra next Sunday August 11 at Milano, Italy.
Keeping with the spirit, the evening couples Sir Malcolm Arnold‘s Sweeney Todd Suite with Jon’s Concerto.
Conducted by Giovanni Marziliano, the individual players are:
Guitar and vocals: Graziano Demurtas
Bass: Tony del Coco
Drums: Tobia Scarpolini
Hammond organ: Ivan Merlini

It’s wonderfull there’s so many music events that remember DP incredible neverending music and performing, tribute bands or others, while DP are still strongly playing everywhere in the world and making records… And expecially, in this (and many other!) case, in my Country and an evening in honor of the great Manster , unforgettable Jon Lord.
Itis jhust great! I am so glad to see that the work of Jon Lord is still performed. I was a little afraid that with the master gone, the work wouldjhust be listened on DVD and CD……….now, i hope, and i am sure that the furture generations can hear te work of Jon in live performance like it is for beethoven, Bach and Mozart……
