Special treats lining up for Lichfield

Boom PR w handJon Lord’s concert at Lichfield Cathedral (near Birmingham) on July 17 is shaping up to feature a special selection of music from his solo career.

Appearing with a string quartet, bass, drums, flute, a keyboard player and two singers, Jon Lord is planning to perform ‘some or all of the following’:

Sarabande – Gigue – Bourree – De Profundis – Miles Away – Wait a While – The Sun Will Shine Again – From the Windmill – Telemann Experiment. Plus more – as yet undecided.

The evening’s line-up is:

Nigel Hopkins on keyboards
Don Richardson on bass
Steve White on drums
Bruce Martin on flute
Steve Balsamo & Kasia á´Śaska on vocals
The Badke String Quartet

Earlier the same day Jon Lord will also appear ‘in conversation’ with festival director Richard Hawley at Lichfield Garrick Main Theatre – buy tickets.

  2. I will be in the second row for this concert and really cant wait. If there is one piece of music I would really love to hear it is Krystal Spa. Doubt it will happen though.
    Looking forward to in conversation event in the morning. Although relly worried the questionairre will be asking the same old questions we have all heard before I hope he will be fielding questions from the audience.

  3. Well Done, Jon, superb music at the Child Line Concert.

    News has surfaced about the Ashton Lord LP from 1974< i know a long time ago and new tracks have surfaced, which means it will be re-issued.

    As a big fan of Paice Ashton and Lord, I look forward to seeing it re-surface again.
