The studio recording of Jon Lord’s Durham Concerto is scheduled for CD release on January 28th, 2008.

I totally agree. I was really hoping to go there (also to see the cathedral since I’m very interested in church buildings in general) but unfortunately I couldn’t, since I live in Iceland and it is quite a trip to make. Anyway, I hope to see the concert in Liverpool next year. It’s been long on my plan. Another thing which I find very interesting is the use of Hammond in classical music. I can’t think of many composers which could do that better than Jon.
