Jon Lord’s weekend double

This weekend, Jon Lord makes two British concert appearances.

Friday night (July 8), Jon is performing at all-star The Sunflower Jam at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Other artists include Rick Wakeman, Deep Purple, Anna Phoebe, Joe Bonamassa and more.

On Sunday evening, July 10, you have the opportunity to catch Jon Lord in a rare performance of his suite To Notice Such Things at St. Andrew’s Church in Nuthurst near Horsham. This is just a short drive from London’s Gatwick Airport.

Performing with the professional choir of St. Thomas More, Chelsea and the Bernardi Music Group conducted by Paul Mann, the evening’s programme will also include Fauré’s Requiem.

Tickets for Nuthurst are available from The Capitol box office (01403 750220) or thecapitolhorsham.com. Concert starts 6.30pm.

  1. Dear Jon,

I had the privilege to discover your art when I was 15 (now I am 41). You made me become a fan, not only of your bands, but of the Hammond Organ sound itself. I discovered artists such as Uriah Heep, The James Taylor Quartet and others just trying to find more of that magnificent sound that I got to know thanks to your work. I was also lucky enough to see your unforgettable performance at the Albert Hall last July.
All my best wishes in this difficult moment. My prayers will be with you. I owe you a lot of happy
    moments and memories.

    Adrian

  2. Dear Jon,
i’m bassman, live in Alicante for 10 years and i’m a grear Fan of Deep Purple and specialy of YOU!
many years ago i was for one concert in Germany the Reserv- Backliner of Roger Clover and we both talked a little bit backstage. You are a great person and i have many respect for your charisma and playing the keys and B3! Never give up! Try the homoeopatic-natural things too, it’s not the wrong way. I know a few friends they did and they are ok now. We need you and your energy of music.
Hold on and i want to hear you playing live in the future!!!!
    muchos saludos de corazon
