The DPAS reports that there will shortly be a limited vinyl edition of the studio recording of Jon Lord’s Gemini Suite album from 1971. It will be a single disc in a gatefold sleeve.
There is also a plan to issue the original live version on vinyl, which has never been on this format before. The live version will also be a single LP, but in a single cover with an inner bag and using the rare pictures from the session.
The live version features all of Deep Purple Mark 2, whereas the studio version features Tony Ashton and Yvonne Elliman, and Roger Glover and Ian Paice.
Both vinyl editions will be high quality German pressings and the catalogue numbers will carry on where the original label left off. The studio version can now be pre-ordered from dpas mailorder.
